Back ground
14 years ago in 1990 a family business started by importing building materials and whole sale distribution. In 1996 the family started exporting oil seeds to United Kingdom and Egypt.
Gathering these experiences Mallima PLC was established in the year 2001.
Mallima is now engaged in exporting oil seeds, pulses, cereals and spices to Europe, Middle
East, Asia and North America and importing Building Materials. As per our data we have
significant amount of the oil seeds export market share.
Facilities
We have our own cleaning plant with three machines and capacity of 80 Tons a shift (8 hours)
on the western out skirt of Addis Ababa, Burayu 9 Kms from middle town.
We have also our own PP bag factory which adds independence regarding punctuality and
quality packaging.
Management
Devoted and experienced professionals in the export market handle the oil seeds, pulses and
spices export business. Geresu Chaka is the general manager.

Oil Seeds: sesame seed both Wellega and Humera type, Niger seed, Soya beans, rape Seed,
Mustard Seed, Castor Seed, Sunflower, and Linseed/Flex
Pulses: Red Kidney Beans, White Pea Beans (Haricots seed)
Spice: Black cumin, Ginger, and White cumin (Bishop's weed)
Cereals: Chick Peas, Pea Beans, Horse Beans, Maize, Lentil Whole, Lentil Split, Green Mung.
The Following are our special export stock items, meaning we hold stock the whole year round.

Partners
We have acquired agricultural land and are going to harvest our own sesame seed Wellega type next year. As farmers, Farmers' Associations and Unions are our long term partners in the supply side. In the demand side we have long term partners abroad we respect and shall have new ones which shall be convinced by our committed dependable business relations.
